I am glad to greet you on my website! Presumably, you are interested in a qualified lawyer or an experienced advocate? Over the years, I have provided professional legal services and ensured competent legal defence.
Since November 2004, I was admitted to the Latvian Collegium of Sworn Advocates (although I had already started to work in the field of jurisprudence since the last year of the university).
Being a student of one of the most famous lawyers in Latvia — Maestro Vilhelms Kozlovskis, I have run the gamut from an assistant to a highly qualified expert. V. Kozlovskis shared his experience and knowledge with me, taught the wisdom of conducting the most complex criminal cases, helped to form a professional opinion and attitude to the case.
In 2007, after successfully passing the exams and swearing in, I was admitted to the ranks of the sworn lawyers. I am also a member of the International Bar Association.
One of the pillars of the lawyer activity is observance of the client's secrets and all too often this is more important than bank secrecy. That's why I have no right, however much I would like to, to disclose the names or titles of my clients, or to boast about the number of cases won. Only the publications about some of my cases in the media allow me to open the names or somehow specify my participation in a particular case.
Such cases include:
1. The case of Artem Vaulin, a citizen of Ukraine, the alleged creator of the Internet resource Kickass Torrents (KAT) — one of the world's largest torrent file search engines. A. Vaulin was arrested in Warsaw by a decision of the Chicago Circuit Court in connection with the criminal case for alleged copyright infringement and money laundering with a total damage to the United States of America of one billion dollars. Artem Vaulin is still called the largest Internet-criminal for all time.
In this high-profile case, acting in a team of specialists from various countries outside of Poland, at the level of the Republic of Latvia and the European Union, I defended Mr. Vaulin's interests and rights.
2. The case of "stolen antiques" is one of the most notorious cases in Latvia in such a closed from the majority and secret life as antiques. In the criminal procedure launched in 2013, more than 10 affected persons were united and the amount of the debt of L.G., E.G. and their joint company was about one million LVL (approximately 1,400,000.00 EUR). In 2017, it was known that L.G. was recognized as a suspect in more than 22 criminal proceedings (in part of which she received the status of an accused).
In this case, I represented the interests of those who were most affected by L.G.'s actions - the damage from the suspect's actions amounted to more than 200,000.00 EUR.
During my professional career and up to now I have been providing lawyer services in all spheres of law (criminal, civil and administrative) for cases of any complexity. I handle cases and have clients in the territory of the Republic of Latvia, the Baltic States and the Russian Federation, in Pakistan, the Netherlands, USA, Germany and the United Kingdom.
